Happy Birthday to my Mom

For your birthday this year, I bought you a website!  I wanted to create a place for you to share your memories, pictures, thoughts and devotionals with your family and friends.

I have just started to build it out for you and will work with you throughout the year to make it something that you can minister to others on as well as connect and share with those you love.  

I sincerely hope that you have fun writing and sharing on this page.

I came across something I have written for you in 2012 and thought I could post it here to remind you of how much I love you.

Busy, busy, too busy to it seems, 

To busy for remembering, to busy for our dreams. 

To busy putting out the fires and never taking time, 

To think upon the ones we love, who matter most of all. 

Today I take a moment from this loud and boisterous life, 

Time to reflect and resurrect the fleeting years of youth. 

I remember days of play and fun and all the childhood games, 

Then I remember who was there when frolic turned to tears. 

Seems to me now as I take time to contemplate the past, 

I always found a loving heart who met my every tear, 

With understanding eyes concerned and arms to hug me tight, 

I found a woman who said I could and gave me strength to fight. 

I never knew that others didn’t have what I had then, 

And as I’ve grown and aged a bit I see now more I think 

That a treasure dear was given me when I was placed with you. 

A treasure that was then, but stays within me still. 

I tell you today my Mother dear that I could not but be, 

More proud to have you as my Mom for these now 40 years. 

Though time pass us by and we don’t see each other for a while, 

I will always hold you close because forever you’re my Mom. 

Happy Birthday, Mom.  You are the best!!
